Join us with Captain Jim for and exciting Day Sail on the Classic Cutter SEAWULFF!!

Port Townsend is rich in musical and maritime history. The town  was developed to support the big windjammers and sailing freighters hauling wood to San Francisco and fish to Asia, in 1860’s. Shipwrights who built and repaired these ships, built the town and the old skippers Victorian homes which are still here.  Several turn of the century wood churches and the old Fire Bell Tower for the horse draw fire wagon can be seen from Port Townsend Bay while sailing on Seawulff.

Port Townsend is the home port of over one hundred wooden ships, large wood yachts and has its own annual Wooden Boat Festival mid summer

You can sail the Puget Sound and Salish Sea where quiet bays and inlets reveal breath taking scenery in all directions.  Orca killer whales, large brown sea otters, harbor seals, sunbathing sea lions and porpoises are often spotted for photography. Near by Protection Island is often in our day sails, depending on the tides.

We also visit the San Juan Islands and see original older houses  belonging to explorers, from the Fishermen to the rum-runners of the last century. On a San Juan sail charter you’ll be visiting historic waterways and find the new vineyards and farms of modern day islanders.

Overnight Camping is possible during our sail at three of the rustic State marine water parks and some privately arranged moorages for beach walking and beach BBQ.

Port Townsend and The San Juan Islands are a top Seattle and West Coast destinations for Sailing Adventure vacations and day sailing.

There’s no better view of the magnificent Olympic Mountain Views and San Juan Archipelago and Puget Sound and the surrounding Salish Sea, than from the deck of our classic design cutter, the wooden sailing vessel Seawulff.

Welcome aboard! Come and help sail the ship or relax and let our and experienced crew do the work.
