Port Townsend and the San Juan Islands are top Pacific Northwest sailing destinations for day sailing and overnight sailing adventure vacations.

You can sail the Puget Sound and the Salish Sea where quiet bays and inlets reveal breath taking scenery in all directions. Large brown sea otters, harbor seals, sunbathing sea lions, porpoises and sometimes Orca Killer whales.  Our Pacific Northwest yacht charters offer a unique opportunity to travel through pristine, unspoiled wilderness that few are likely to experience in this lifetime. Contact us to help in the planning of your sailing voyage. We create the vacation itinerary based on your interests and desires. Sailing, kayaking, fishing and wildlife viewing are just some of the experiences that await. We can also plan stops at local restaurants or shopping excursions for those interested. Day sails based out of Port Townsend, Washington are available. Trips are arranged and planned on a first come, first served basis. Book early as the season will fill up fast!  Nearby Protection Island is often in our day sails.

On an overnight San Juan sailing charter, you will cruise historic waterways in the beautiful San Juan Islands.  Choices of destinations like Friday Harbor on San Juan island or Rosario Resort on Orcas Island can be planned.

Overnight camping can be arranged at any of the rustic State marine water parks. Some have docks and at others we will have to anchor for beach and tide pool exploring.

There is no better view of the magnificent Olympic Mountains, Cascade Mountains and San Juan Archipelago and Puget Sound and the surrounding Salish Sea, than from the deck of our classic design cutter, the wooden sailing vessel Seawulff.

A love of wooden boats and boat building and repair starting in the late 1960’s has revived the vitality of the port.  The Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building, the annual Wooden Boat Festival (held every September), the Maritime Center, and many healthy maritime trades now flourish here in Port Townsend.
